Join us for Melbourne Cup Lunch and watch the race that stops the nation at The Duck!

Gather your friends or colleagues and enjoy a day out at your local Adelaide Hills Pub. On Melbourne Cup day, guests can accompany the A La Carte menu with a glass of Mumm champagne, a cold beer or a boutique gin. In addition, our $22 cocktail jugs are the perfect choice when sharing with friends!

After the race has finished, settle in for the afternoon with our extensive range of local and boutique wines, gins and craft beers on tap. Then if you’re feeling up for it, stay around for dinner and drinks to finish off the day.

The History of Melbourne Cup

Flemington was fairly basic in the early days with little in the way of running rails or stands. The Melbourne Cup quickly became popular as a carnival with picnic parties, sideshows, celebrations and people showing off their latest fashions. Socialites, politicians and Australia’s rich and famous attended the Cup right from the earliest days.
